If the world was perfect

No one will worry about anything. But how boring would life be? Read on.... Everyone believed that Kathleen Wiltshire had a great life. She had a close and loving family, a job she loved and for which she was well-paid, and a bright and cheerful outlook on life. Kathleen also had too much stress in her life. Both of her elderly parents were ill, her mother with advanced heart disease, and her father with Alzheimer’s. She had a managerial position in the medical field that kept her traveling 75% of the time. Being 200 pounds overweight was causing emotional and medical problems for her. She wanted to walk as part of an exercise program, but wasn’t comfortable walking in the strange towns where she traveled. Her apartment was disorganized but she had no time to attack the piles of papers and clothing. Her biggest dream was to buy a home of her own, and she needed to save for a down payment, pay off debt and begin searching for her dream house. The stress of searching for answ...

MyChristmas decor are back to sleep

Image
Today, I am finally over with cleaning up my Christmas decor. Yes, just today. I kept postponing it because I really didn't have the energy. I was sort of under the weather right after the holidays. This is also one of the reasons why my posts are few and far between. Sigh :-( Also, the laptop I used before is almost occupied daily. The owner is constantly blogging these days. That's how persistent and determined he is. I guess I really convinced him well. I was the one who introduced him to blogging. Back to the topic. I am so pleased and relieved. Nothing can beat this feeling of putting back to their respective boxes every single decor. For the moment they are all sleeping and I shall awaken them in time for the next holiday :-)

There's Gold in this Wedding Anniversary

Image
Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary to my Uncle Tillo and his wife Auntie Ludy. After 6 children and lots of grandchildren, I can say that love has definitely triumphed in the life of this hardworking and persevering couple. It doesn't matter that between the two of them today, there's physical pain and aches here and there. Done with the difficulties and hurdles of life, it is now time to enjoy the fruits of your labor -- numerous grandchildren now bring the smile and the laughter... lots of it. Though the road looks shorter, it is is definitely a success. The occassion is a celebration of love and life and relationships.

My Bologna Post

From the article written by Joan Scobey, a freelance travel writer. "Bologna the Learned honors its university, founded in 1088 and the oldest in the world. Its reknowned faculties bring 90,000 students to a city of less than 400,000 people, one reason why the municipal calendar is filled with concerts, opera, ballet and theater, why there seems to be a bookstore on every block, and why you hear street musicians play in the arcades. Ah, the arcades. Bologna the Red is a nod, not to its left-leaning politics, but to its ruddy arcades, 23 miles of them, lining the streets of central Bologna . They flank wide boulevards, narrow alleys, plazas and squares. Some have tall, Gothic arches, others are Romanesque and a few are simple wooden medieval beams. Their origins go back nine centuries, when medieval buildings were first cantilevered over the street to gain extra room for students at the new university. First-time visitors should head to the main square, Piazza Maggiore, the h...
